All the requirements for a PERFECT KETO burger – caramelized onions, crispy bacon, sautéed mushrooms, and Swiss cheese! This may just be the best burger you have ever had!
This is One Gourmet Burger…
And we aren't mad about it one bit! The caramelized onions offer sweetness, the bacon offers saltiness, the sauteed mushrooms offer deep flavor, and the swiss cheese is the melty goodness that brings it all together.
This juicy burger patty is also layered between two pillowy, soft, herbed buns. We like to call them Cloud Buns! Get ready for the best burger of your life!
Step 1: Make the Cloud Buns. Heat your oven to 300 F and start on the batter. Separate the eggs and then mix yolks, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and rosemary together in mixing bowl. Whip the separated egg whites and cream of tartar in separate bowl until you get medium stiff peaks. Gently fold the yolk mixture into white mixture. The batter should look like this.
Next, line a half baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop out the dough and use your hands to shape the dough into bun halves, then place on the lined baking sheet. You should have enough dough for 10 bun-sized circles on the sheet. Bake for about 30 minutes or until a light golden brown. Remove from oven and set aside.
Step 2: Thinly slice the onion. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Add in the oil and onions. Cook until light brown and soft, stirring along the way. Add a pinch of salt to the onions when they have cooked for about 15 minutes. It usually takes about 25 minutes for them to caramelize.
Step 5: Put it altogether! Grill your burger patties on an outdoor grill or use a grill pan. Add on the Swiss Cheese slice after the first flip. Once ready, assemble your burgers by a starting with a bun half, then adding the cooked burger patty, then the bacon, then the mushrooms, then the caramelized onions, and finally another bun half! Add some spicy mustard for some kick! Enjoy!!!!
